Named after its unique circular shape, the Bender has been a Wimpy institution for well over 60 years.
This meaty pork frankfurter, lightly spiced with a hint of ginger and pepper and a natural smoke flavouring, is revered by the public – when we experimented with changing its name to a 'Frankfurter in a Bun' in the late 1990s, there was such an outcry that we had to reinstate it!
Where can I find it?!
The fried Bender sausage features across our breakfast, grill and burger menu but is enjoyed by most customers served in a white bun with cheese, tomato, onion and lashings of Wimpy ketchup.
